Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is currently in the hospital and has a surgery planned this afternoon. We spoke to him a few minutes ago and here's what he had to say

Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Nattu Kaka aka Ghanshyam Nayak is hospitalised for a major surgery in an hour's time. The senior actor is admitted at Suchak Hospital, Malad since two days after a lump was detected in his neck and that made him feeling uneasy. Before surgery, he spoke to us not only about his health but also when and how will he finally make a comeback to the show post lockdown.

Ghanshyam Nayak couldn't join the show post lockdown as new government guidelines didn't permit him to go on the shoot due to age. But now when the ban has been lifted the actor was called back by the makers to shoot for Ganpati special which was recently telecasted. However, his current health didn't allow him to do so but the actor is extremely sure about returning to the show soon. Talking to us exclusively, Ghanshyam Nayak said, "I have been hospitalised since two days now and today at 3 my surgery will take place. A lump was detected in my neck sometime back but it's been increasing and that is making me feel uneasy. The surgery is major and will go for 3-4 hours. Post which they will be keeping me in ICU and I will have to spend at least a week here. But I believe in God he will make things easy for me. When asked if he is planning to take a break from the show after this and he said, "You know how desperate I was to get back to the work but unfortunately because of my health I couldn't join the show. My producer Asit Modi had reached out to me for making a comeback during Ganpati special shoot but I had to go for this surgery. So, I requested him to give me a month's time and he agreed to it. In fact, he is the one who told me your health is our priority and also offered financial help. I am sure I will be fine and resume work by Navratri."
